It is decided that “Sword Art Online Alicization” written by Reki Kawahara and A spin-off work Keiichi Shigusawa writes “Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online” will be animated as an animation project of Reki Kawahara’s novel series “Sword Art Online”. It was announced at “Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2017” held in Tokyo’s Akihabara UDX on October 1.
Some of the casts are open to the public.
In “Alicization”, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who played Kilito and Haruka Tomatsu who played Asuna continue to appear from main part. In others, Ai Kayano was appointed to the role of Alice in heroine, and Nobunaga Shimazaki was appointed to role of Euro.
In “Gun Gale Online”, Tomori Kusunoki was appointed to the role of Ren in hero, and Yoko Higasa was appointed to role of Pitofui who is one of Ren’s few friends.
Also, the official websites of both titles are open. In “Alicization”, visuals written by Abec of the original illustrator are released. In “Gun Gale Online”, visuals written by Kouhaku Kuroboshi are released.
Promotional video announcing animation is being distributed in the websites of both titles.
